Zest Optical are working alongside a growing domiciliary optical provider to recruit an Optical Domiciliary Manager in Gloucester.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous optical experience who enjoys a varied role combining dispensing, clinical support, administration, and patient care.
This position will be based primarily within the practice, supporting the day-to-day running of the service. There will also be opportunities to accompany the Optometrist on testing days and delivery visits, helping to deliver a high level of care and service to patients across the region.
Optical Domiciliary Manager – Role
- Monday to Friday working pattern
- No weekend working
- Salary between £28,000 to £30,000 DOE
- Primarily practice-based role with some travel across the region
- Support the clinical and dispensing side of the service
- Assist with frame selection, dispensing, fittings, and patient support
- Accompany the Optometrist on testing clinics and delivery days
- Manage administration, paperwork, and patient records
- Coordinate appointments and support the day-to-day organisation of the service
- Work closely with patients, care homes, and the wider team
- Deliver a high standard of patient care and customer service
This is a varied role offering a mix of patient interaction, dispensing, administration, and clinical support where no two days are likely to be the same.
Requirements
- Previous experience within the optical industry essential
- Experience in dispensing and patient-facing optical environments
- Strong organisational and administration skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building ability
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities
- Professional and patient-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle required
