Optical Assistant vacancies and Dispensing Optician jobs based in Central London.  Zest Optical recruitment are working with a luxury independent Opticians based in Central London to hire a full time Optical Assistant or Qualified Dispensing Optician.  

We are currently looking for an Optical Assistant or newly qualified Dispensing Optician to join a very high end independent Opticians in Central London (Nearest station is Holborn)

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a lovely practice which holds a great reputation for offering the highest levels of service and a wide range of popular and unique designer brands. .

Optical Assistant/Dispensing Optician– Role

  • Team of 6 people
  • Specialises in unique visual corrections – bespoke lenses, occupational lenses
  • Unique Frames brands – Dita, Savile Row, Precious Lindberg, Chanel, Cartier
  • Accounts with most lens suppliers – Hoya, Zeiss, Nikon and Essilor
  • Assisting with dispensing, pre-screening, adjustments, collections, reception and general admin
  • 5 days a week including Saturdays – Practice opening times from 10.30am to 5pm (4.30pm on Sat)
  • Salary between £23,000 to £35,000 depending on experience
  • Further progression and development opportunities – DO Course, management, product training

Optical Assistant/Dispensing Optician – Requirements

  • Recent experience working within Opticians
  • Independent experience would be advantageous
  • Either an experienced Optical Assistant or a qualified Dispensing Optician
  • Must be calm, comfortable and confident at all times when talking to patients
  • Maintain the high level of customer care expected by patients of the practice
  • Interest in fashion and styling
  • Ability to learn and want to develop
